Application
Our unique OSDP cable design combining a 22 AWG RS485 pair and an 18 AWG 4-core configuration within a single sheath is a hybrid, low-voltage solution tailored for applications requiring both reliable serial communication (via the RS485 pair) and additional conductors for power, control, or auxiliary functions.
The 22 AWG twisted pair supports RS485 differential signalling for data at 120-ohms, while the 18 AWG 4-core section provides higher current capacity and versatility.
RS485 bidirectional data transmission for OSDP card readers is a typical application for our single cable design.
Our Shielded cables are ideal for reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI) in environments with high electrical noise, such as near power lines or industrial equipment.
